Scope of responsibilities
- Designing and being responsible for comprehensive software architectures for scalable, secure, and available systems.
- Creating and developing architectural patterns (microservices, modular monolith, event-driven, API-first) and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Making architectural decisions at the front-end, back-end, integration, and platform layers, including cloud-native architectures on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Ensuring a focus on scalability, availability, performance, security, and operability, including observability (logs, metrics, tracing).
- Defining API standards, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps, as well as test automation strategies (unit, integration, E2E).
- Creating architecture documentation and ADR, mentoring teams, and collaborating in an Agile environment.
Sought-after competences
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect (previously as a Software Architect).
- Very good knowledge of front-end, back-end, and integration architecture, as well as cloud-native solutions (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Crossplane), networking and service mesh technologies (Istio, Envoy, OVN-Kubernetes), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
- Knowledge of DevOps/GitOps, CI/CD, and GitHub, IAM solutions (Keycloak), databases (PostgreSQL, Ceph), and TypeScript and Go programming.
- Experience in automated testing (SDLC), Agile work, and excellent communication and Mentoring.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Red Hat OpenShift AI.
- Experience working with Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation.
- Knowledge of advanced cryptography and data protection solutions, such as Cosmian.
- Experience designing hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Experience implementing internal architectural standards and governance models.
- Prior experience working in regulated industries (finance, telecommunications, public sector).
