Scope of responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Serving as Technical Lead for Guidewire projects (PolicyCenter / BillingCenter / ClaimCenter)
- Coordinating with client-side teams and business stakeholders
- Planning, monitoring, and ensuring timely completion of team tasks
- Mentoring and supporting the development team in project implementation
- Participating in organizational initiatives and sharing knowledge within the team
- Supporting the team in resolving technical issues and making architectural decisions
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
Sought-after competences
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate IT environment in a similar position
- Experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Developer in Guidewire projects
- Experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter
- Very good programming skills in Gosu
- Knowledge of Java and the JVM ecosystem (Java 8+, J2EE, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate)
- Experience working with application servers and messaging systems
- Knowledge of good programming practices (Clean Code, design patterns)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with business stakeholders
- Higher education (Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in IT, engineering, or a related field.
- English language skills at B2 level, enabling work in an international environment.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Angular (5+) and Kotlin.
- Experience working with CI/CD.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes containerization tools.
- Experience working with a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
