Scope of responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, ensuring compliance with business requirements and technical best practices.
  • Create and oversee application architecture within the Guidewire ecosystem and related technologies (Gosu, Java, Angular, Kotlin).
  • Lead development teams as Technical Lead, mentoring, and supporting developers in Guidewire and JVM.
  • Design and develop front-end solutions (Angular 5+) and back-end integrations using Java, Kotlin, SOAP, REST, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes processes, deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Analyze business requirements, recommend technical solutions, and prepare architectural documentation.
  • Ensuring the application of good coding practices, design patterns, and quality standards throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and project teams, participating in strategic and technical planning for system development.
  • Monitoring system performance and identifying potential architectural and implementation improvements.

Sought-after competences

  • Min. 3 years of experience as an Architect
  • Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter
  • Proficiency in Gosu programming and good knowledge of Java and the JVM ecosystem (Java 8+, J2EE, XML, SOAP, REST, SQL, PL/SQL, Spring, Hibernate, application servers, messaging systems)
  • Experience in front-end development using Angular 5+ and Kotlin
  • Knowledge and application of good programming practices (Clean Code, design patterns)
  • Experience in CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and working with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an enterprise IT environment, including experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Developer on Guidewire projects
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
